Brenda-Joyce Nina Legge 62, of Independence, MO passed away, Monday, December 13, 2010. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Independence with cremation to follow. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the church. Donations may be made to the Bingham-Waggoner Historical Society Endowment Fund. She was born July 27, 1948 in Baltimore, MD to Vincent and Dorothy June (Bacon) D’Anna. She spent her early life in Maryland before moving to Independence. She had worked for over 14 years as the floral manager at McKeevers Price Chopper at 23rd and 291 and most recently had worked for Changing Seasons Gifts and Floral in Englewood. She enjoyed volunteer work and had volunteered at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate as a tour guide and board member and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday school. She was married to Jim Legge on September 20, 1969; he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter, Jennifer Castaneda and husband Jorge of San Antonio, TX; a son, Anthony Legge of Independence, MO; her mother, Dorothy June D’Anna of Joppa, MD; 2 brothers, Vincent D’Anna of Maryland and Angelo D’Anna of Joppa MD and 2 grandchildren.
