Valeta Leiker

Darlene Leiker, 70, of Independence, MO passed away February 26, 2009 at her home. She was born on August 28, 1938 in Antonino, KS on the family farm. Her family then moved to Schoenchen, KS where she was raised. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Mary (Herrman) Dreher; and one brother, CJ Dreher. Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Harold Leiker; one son, Bret Leiker and wife Iris; two grandchildren, Drake and Emma Leiker; one brother, Julius Dreher of Hays, KS; and four sisters, Dorothy Schmidt and husband Leo of Great Bend, KS, Alice Orth of Hays, KS, Almita Augustine of Salina, KS, Thelma Karlin and husband Gene of Hays, KS.
