Leon "Lee" Gail Daniels

Leon "Lee" Gail Daniels Jr., a dedicated cement mason and a beloved family man, passed away on January 16, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. He was born on December 27, 1959, in Pablo, California.
 
 Lee grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Northeast High School. He embarked on a remarkable career as a cement mason with Local Union 518. For over three decades, Lee dedicated himself to his craft, leaving a lasting impact on the construction industry. He also spent time working at KCI airport as well as managing Daniels Building Maintenance for many years.
 
 Quiet and unassuming by nature, Lee never sought the limelight but had an immense capacity for love and compassion. He crossed paths with Nancy, the love of his life through fate's intervention. On one lucky evening, introduced by a mutual friend, their connection was undeniable. From that day forward, they shared an extraordinary journey. Lee had five incredible grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. They were the light of his life and brought him immeasurable joy. 
 
 Lee's departure has left a void that can never be filled. However, we find solace in knowing that his legacy lives on through the memories he created with each person fortunate enough to have known him. His unwavering kindness and selflessness touched the lives of many.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents; Leon G Daniels Sr. and Lillian Daniels, and his siblings; Steven Daniels, Terry Daniels, and Cheryl Daniels. He will be dearly missed by Nancy, his loving wife of many years; his daughter; Erin Giffin (David); his sisters; Cookie Ashby and Neenee Daniels (Don Bridges); his precious grandchildren, Kiley Jett, Levi Tousey, Cole Tousey, Shelby Tousey, and Wren Tousey; their adopted grandchildren, Lili Feo and Jayla, and his first great-grandbaby, Silas Tousey Otto, born Jan 28, 2024, at 6:22 am weighing 8 lbs, 9 oz., 21 inches long. Lee will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, extended family members, and countless friends.
