Franklin Lloyd Leonard, 57, of Clinton, MO, passed away, Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will follow in the King City Cemetery in King City, MO. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday evening at the chapel. Frank was born June 23, 1952 in Winston, MO to Lester L. and Reta M. (Huffman) Leonard. He graduated high school from Raytown High School in 1972. He worked as a janitor for the Truman Library for a number of years. He had also worked as a hospice aide, at Lake City Ammunition Plant and AT&T. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching the KC Chiefs and reading. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton and formerly in Lexington, MO. He is survived by; his mother and step father, Preston and Reta Pemberton of Ballard, MO; a brother, David Leonard and his wife Lisa of Sioux Falls, SD; a niece, Amanda Hackett of Anchorage, Alaska; a nephew Matthew Leonard and his wife Jennifer of Raytown; 16 cousins and 2 uncles.
