Mearl Lester, 73, of Independence, MO passed away May 21, 2009 at his home. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the chapel. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Mearl was born September 4, 1935 in Franklin, KY. After 32 years, he retired from Empire Mechanical, where he was a Heating and AC Installer. Mearl is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Helen B. Lester; two daughters, Shelley Bloss and Lisa Cameron; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
