Linda Lou Brittain

Linda Lou Brittain, 75 of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Truman Medical Center.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Mt. Washington Cemetery.  There will be a visitation from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., Thursday prior to the service at the Carson-Speaks Chapel.  Linda was born March 31, 1948 in Council Bluffs, IA to Ed and Lila Nuzum.  She graduated from public schools in Council Bluffs before meeting her husband and relocating to the Kansas City area.  She was a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker throughout her life.  She was married to Jerry Brittain until he preceded her in death in 2009; she was also preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lila Nuzum and daughter, Patsy Ann Nuzum.  Survivors include; 2 sons, Jessie Brittain of Independence, MO and Nephi Brittain of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Susan Morise of Freeman, MO; a sister and 2 brothers; 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Andre, Amanda and Randi and 2 great grandchildren, Jerri and Keaton.
