Linda Hunt passed away on October 22, 2025 in Independence, Missouri at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Annabelle Reno; her sister, Sue Breshears; her daughter, Cathy Bindl; and her grandson, Perry Hunt. She is survived by her husband, Bill Hunt; her children, Connie Wooton and Todd Hunt; her grandchildren, Brandi Atwell, Casey Gilmore, Spencer Hunt, Desiree Stone, and Ashley Berrios; and her great-grandchildren, Blair and Baldwin Gilmore, Charlie Atwell, Jenisa and Carlos Berrios, and Vanda Stone.
Linda Hunt was born and raised in Wheatland, Missouri. She relocated to the Kansas City area and finally settled in Dancyville, Tennessee. She worked with her husband training bird dogs, was a professional field trial judge, and was a reporter for the American Field magazine. She was selected to be the secretary of the AFTCA (Amateur Field Trial Clubs of America) and was later placed in the National Birddog Hall of Fame.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devout Christian and dedicated member of her church. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano, singing, bird watching, raising cattle and birddogs, and most of all, spending time with family. She was an amazing person and one of the most intelligent, caring, and dedicated people I know. I thank God for sharing the wonderful angel with us. She will be greatly missed.
