Amy Dawn Litzenberger (Reimal)

December 5, 1969 — March 17, 2022

Amy was a fun loving young lady who never met a stranger. She had a heart as big as all outdoors. She did not have any biological children, but was a “mother” to many. No matter who she encountered, she was immediately ready to help them when they experienced misfortune. She would open her heart and her home to those in need of her help.

Amy enjoyed reading, swimming, traveling, Mavericks Hockey Games, extreme exercise with her Burn Boot Camp and just being with her friends.

She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1988 where she was a member of the debate team and the swim team along with many other activities. She was a student delegate to our Independence Sister City Higashimurayama, Tokyo, Japan. Amy was involved in many community activities both civic and political. She accompanied her father to help promote Independence on many occasions.

She attended Community College and Central Missouri State University. She worked for several companies including Southwestern Bell where she met and married David Litzenberger. Later in life, she worked for the Circuit Court where she was JAA to Judge Susan Long. She was often heard to say that being Judge Long’s JAA was the best job she could ever have.
