Jenney Marie Long, 43, of Independence, MO, passed away
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015, beginning at 3:00 pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64052. Jenney was born on November 18, 1971 in Trenton, Missouri to Rick and Debra (Hudson) Graham. As a young child she moved to the Independence area, and graduated from William Chrisman High School. She went on to receive an Associate’s Degree, specializing in Veterinary Medicine. Her most recent job was at the KC Zoo. On May 29, 1999, she married the love of her life, Rad. Together they had a son Haden. After welcoming her son, life changed, as Haden was her #1 priority in life. Jenney took a very active role in Haden’s education, volunteering countless hours, and energy to the school. She loved teaching Haden new things and helping to shape his young mind by exposing him to the arts, reading together, co-parenting their dog, Roxy, and baking. They were always on the hunt for the next best cupcake! Jenney also enjoyed crafts, especially scrap booking. She enjoyed cooking, and loved all animals. Jenney was very strong willed and at times a stubborn woman, who had a heart of gold, and knew the true meaning of unconditional love for her family and friends. Survivors include: husband Rad; son Haden; mother Debbie Malone; father Rick Graham; brothers Rodney Holiman, and John Graham; sister Catherine Graham; grandmothers Cora Little and Donna Graham; mother in law, Charlene Davis; sister in law Debbie O’Renick; and many extended family and friends.
