Timothy Eugene Long, 45, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Tim was born August 16, 1963 in Kansas City, MO to Gerald R. and Amy L. (Brundage) Long and has been a lifelong are resident graduating from William Chrisman High School. He proudly served in the US Navy in the early 1980’s and was stationed on the USS Missouri. He enjoyed sports especially the KC Chiefs, computer work, fishing, yard work and spending time with family. He worked as a tool and dye maker for Harley Davidson Assembly Plant for 15 years. He is survived by; his mother, Amy Onka of Independence, MO; his father, Gerald Long of Arizona; his wife, Anna Long of Independence, MO; a step daughter Bobbi; a step son, Chris; 4 sisters, Lucinda Bedwell, Angela Gibbons, Audrey Hunter and Amy E. Ruth; nieces, nephews, 2 step brothers, 2 step sisters. and 2 grandchildren, Lindsey and Ashley. He was preceded in death by an uncle.
