Obituary

Louise A. Grzincic left her earthly body on May 28, 2026. We know she was welcomed to her heavenly home with joy, hugs, and a “Well done my good and faithful servant” by her heavenly Father, and Savior, which brings us comfort and happiness.

She was born in Wyandotte Michigan on March 18,1934, to Clarence Fields and Ethel Fields. In addition to playing children’s games as a young girl, Louise was a help and companion to her mother. She was also naughty from time to time, which when her daughters found out, were shocked and found amusing, teasing her about it from time to time. When she was older, she’d do her nails and practice hair styles from her movie star magazines. In her preteen years, her devotion to her Savior developed and grew until her last breath.

She met her love, and life mate, Tony, when she was a young girl. He was so enamored by Louise, that he would help twirl her jump rope to be near her. Tony’s Coast Guard and Naval service separated them by miles but not by heart or letters. They married in 1952.

From their union came two amazing, wonderful, and adorable daughters! Trudy and Connie. They always knew they were loved. Louise set a good and godly example for them.

Both daughters thank God that He gave Louise to them as their mother. She was a sweet mom who never wanted the attention on herself, and generous to the core. Mom almost always had the answers, she listened and gave advice and opinions when asked. Her sense of humor was subtle and often came out of nowhere, which made us laugh all the more. Mom loved it when we gave her a kiss, but she especially loved our hugs.

Louise read her scriptures well and was happy to discuss them and share them with others. She had told us numerous times that God had been so good to her throughout her life. It was an honor and privilege to care for her these past years, months, and weeks, until she was taken to her heavenly home. We will always deeply love her.

Here are some of the sentiments we’ve received, which tells what kind of person she was:

She was a sweet and beautiful soul.

We have sweet memories of you.

Too many things to say…Funny. She’s pretty funny. [Granddaughter Mandy]

The love of the LORD shone from her.

She truly was an angel [to him].

I am happy for her…Knowing her faith and solid convictions. I am happy for her today! She was special to say the very least.

She was a good friend to me.

She had a sweet soul, and smile.

Always offering a kind word and a considerate heart. [Grandson Jason]

Stubborn till the end.

She is survived by daughters Trudy Smith, and Connie Payne (Mikeal); grandchildren Mandy Payne (Scott) and Jason Payne; sister Linda Ingle, and brother Robert Fields; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband and love, Tony; recently passed son-in-law, Michael R. Smith; and many much-loved family members.

Louise’s earthly remains will be laid to rest and inurned with Tony, at Higginsville Veterans Cemetery, after a very small and private service.
