LUCILLE MOORMAN

Lucille Moorman, age 97, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, died Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was born October 17, 1926, to Ida and Elmer Kroeschen, along with her twin brother Leland.  She grew up in Sweet Springs, Missouri and graduated from Sweet Springs High School. She married John Moorman in 1946. She enjoyed cooking for the family, gardening, and travelling to see family in Indiana. She was a long-time member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and retired as a Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service. Although she coped with a form of Muscular Dystrophy (CMT) her entire life, she died of complications of dementia.    She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, Ida and Elmer Kroeschen, her brother Leland and granddaughter Angela Moorman. She is survived by her children, Larry Moorman and his wife Linda, Judy Woodburn, and Roger Moorman and his wife Kathy, grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah, Jocelyn, Katie, and Maleah, great grandchildren Desiree, Reese, Kylee, Thomas, Brandt, Keira, Lilly, and Emma, and great great grandchildren, Bomani, Delsin, and Tujaliwe.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Speaks Suburban Chapel (816) 373-3600)
