Luis Morales Adrales was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully passed away on November 7, 2024 at the age of 95. Born in Iba, Zambales, Philippines in 1929 to Meliton Adrales and Teodora Morales. Luis lived a life rich in joy and passion for his family, career and hobbies.
Luis was a man of resilience and an unparalleled work ethic. For 29 years, he worked as an Electronics and Communications Engineer at Clark US Air Force Base in the Philippines. He immigrated to the US in the summer of 1975, where he dedicated himself to his profession as Senior Electronics Engineer at Video Masters Inc. until he retired at the age of 70.
His wife of 73 years, Lydia Rolda Adrales, also left this world just a few months ago. In their decades together, they were blessed with 10 children, 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Their legacy will live on.
Luis is survived by his children, along with their spouses, and grandchildren: Lorna Edwards (Brian, Mark), Lilia Tercias (Ryan, Lanni), Ma. Lourdes Baslee (Roy, Heather, Brooke), Luz Dufoe (Stephanie), Leticia Howell (Brittany, Elizabeth, Christopher), Luis Adrales Jr. (Michael, Samantha), Lauro Adrales (Nicholas, Morgan, Jordyn, Mason), Loreto Adrales (Loreto Jr, Matthew), Loida Wexler (Jennifer), and Lalaine Kunefke (Danielle, Dominique, Alexandra, Victoria, Logan, Leila).
Luis was an avid music lover. He played the guitar and ukulele and had a good collection of musical instruments. He and Lydia enjoyed ballroom dancing and traveling. Luis is also blessed with some artistic talents including drawing, painting, sketching. He also loved woodworking, and occasional cooking.
Luis will be missed but fondly remembered for a life well-lived—one centered on family and joyful pursuits.
A memorial service will be held on November 17, 2024 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055. If you would like to send flowers, please send to this address.
