Doris Lukenbill Harden, 88, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at the North Care Hospice House. Doris was born September 13, 1922 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Samuel and Anastasia (Dupras) Depin, the youngest of 13 children. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Independence. Doris enjoyed embroidery and dancing, but more than all, she loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her for her spunky and feisty nature. Doris is survived by six children: Richard Harden and Joan Moore, Jay Harden and Judy, Bonnie Green Rodman and Len Ryan, Nancy Harden, Darlene Hough and Marty, Cindy Harden and Tony Collins; seven grandchildren: Ricky Green, Tammy Malloy, Jacque Totten, Michelle Vaughn, Tommy Harden, Martin Hough, and Jessica Howard; ten great grandchildren: Nicholas, Richard, Zachary, Waylon, Megan, Levi, Martina, Kylie, Isola, and Koriana; and one great-great granddaughter Allie. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 17 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 N. Liberty, Independence. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday, November 16 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, where the rosary will be said at 7:30 PM.
