Shirley Lundy

Shirley Ann Lundy, 65, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at her home with her family by her side, after a valiant 12 year battle with cancer. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel. Burial in Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice or Cancer Action. Shirley was born October 26, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to Charles and Thelma (Clay) Glentzer. She graduated from Paseo High School in 1960 before marrying Bernard Lundy in November of 1960. Mrs. Lundy loved her family dearly. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake and traveling in her spare time. Shirley is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bernie Lundy; daughters Chris Klausmeier and husband Kevin, Kathy Hendrickson and husband Bob, Brenda Dresch and husband Troy; grandchildren Matthew, Mitchell and Hannah; brother Robert Glentzer and wife Janice; nieces Sherrie Clarke and husband Jim and their kids Mason and Trenton, Terri Glentzer; uncle Russell Clay; cousins Jim and Darsey Clay, David Clay, Barbara and Larry Mozingo.
