Josephine F. Lusso, 86, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Maywood Terrace Living Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 16, 2009 at Carson Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Hospice.
Josephine was born December 4, 1922 in Slater, MO the daughter of Simon Edward and Josie Florence (Rader) Dennis. She had worked for J.J. Newberry as a baker, but recently she was a homemaker. Josephine enjoyed quilting, crocheting and fishing. She especially loved her family.
She married Edward L. Lusso on December 22, 1945. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2007. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters; 4 brothers and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Lusso and his wife Judy of Sugar Creek; and John Lusso of Independence; 8 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and a brother Ira Dennis of Buckner.
