George E. Lynn, 59, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at home.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, January 23, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, MO.
George was born on April 5, 1952 in Independence to parents George (Sr.) and Retha. He loved coaching basketball, spending time at the lake, and always held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.
Mr. Lynn is survived by his wife, Joan (Hargrove) Lynn; mother, Retha Lynn Mallott; daughters, Tammy, Nancy, and Laura Lynn; son, Johnny Lynn; brothers, Larry Lynn (Penny) and Michael Mallott (Lynda); granddaughters Lexi, Kaylee, and Lauren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, George Lynn Sr.
