Gerald “Jerry” L. Lynn, 87, Independence, MO died April 30, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center at The Groves after suffering many years from Parkinson’s disease. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Friday, May 3 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 10017 E. 36th Terr., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will begin at 10 am before the Mass; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to St. Mary’s Outreach program, 600 N. Liberty St., Independence, MO 64050. Jerry was born Oct. 15, 1925 to George & Agnes Lynn. He married Marian Edison in 1955 and she remained his life-long friend, companion and caregiver. He was employed by Ford Motor Co. for forty-three years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother George Lynn and sister Roseanne Iles. He is survived by sister Mary Angell; sons Andy Lynn, Independence MO; Jeffrey Lynn, Warrensburg, MO; daughters Lisa Long, Anderson, MO; Mary Rowan-Williams, Independence, MO; Karen Lynn, Parkville, MO; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. May his soul rest in peace.
