George Macdonald

George F. MacDonald, 92, of Independence, MO passed away June 7, 2013. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. George was born October 19, 1920 in Kansas City, MO to James and Maude MacDonald. He worked for many years in the cable and rope division of Armco Steel/Union Wire Rope. He was also a very proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. George was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth MacDonald; and son, Dan MacDonald. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Joyce MacDonald; two grandsons, Scott MacDonald (Christina) and Kelly MacDonald; three great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
