Robert Maggard

Robert Allen “Bob” Maggard, 53, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Friday, January 15, 2010 at Speaks. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Bob was born December 7, 1956 in Kansas City, MO to Troy Raymond and Mary Ellen (Watson) Maggard. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1975 before going on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from William Jewell College in 1981. Mr. Maggard enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing his guitar, sailing, bicycling and visiting national parks taking in nature. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bob loved his girls! Mr. Maggard was employed by Jack Henry and Associates as a Security Systems Analyst. Mr. Maggard is survived by his wife Angela (Smith) Maggard; daughters Briana, Audrey, Ashley and Cassandra; granddaughter Scarlett; brother Donald Maggard; sisters Linda Droste and husband Harry, Nancy Jones and husband Jerry, Susan Mercer and husband Dale; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Troy and Mary.
