Terry Lynn Mahan (Garrett)

Terry Lynn Mahan, 62 of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 with cremation to follow. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Donation may be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Terry was born June 14, 1960 in Sunflower, KS to Gerald and Winona (Fladung) Garrett and has been a longtime Independence resident. She had worked as an assembly line worker for AT&T for a number of years until she had to retire for health reasons. She enjoyed fishing, listening to live music, watching car racing and camping. She was married to Lewis Mahan on My 22, 1980, he survives of the home. Other survivors include 3 brothers, Gary Garrett, Leroy Garrett and Randy Garrett all on Independence, MO.
