Agnes Main

Agnes Lila Main, 75, Independence, MO passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at her home.

A Celebration of Agnes’s Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church or the ASPCA.

Agnes was born August 28, 1935 in Calhoun, MO the daughter of Rondal Mason and Lillie Ida (McAllister) Doss. She was a graduate of Mayview High School. Agnes started working at Sears Roebuck at the age of 17 and later worked for Montgomery Wards. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Agnes had a caring and loving heart for animals. She enjoyed baseball and hunting morel mushrooms, and most of all her grandchildren and great grand children.

Agnes is preceded in death by her sister Ruth Young, brother, Ricky Doss and her parents.

Survivors include her loving husband, Bill Main; daughter, Cindi Henshaw and her husband Roy David; son, John Mason Main and his wife Kristy; grandchildren, Lyndsey Kee Padget, Ryan Paul Main, and Jeremy David Henshaw; great granddaughter, Allison Kee Padget; brothers Raymond Doss, John Doss, and Gary Doss and many nieces and nephews.
