Lonnie Majors, Sr.

Lonnie Bryan Majors, Sr., 82, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at John Knox Village Care Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011 in the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Lonnie was born April 15, 1928 in Pensacola, FL to Bryan and Nell (Edgerton) Majors. He retired in 1997 from Smurfit Stone Corporation after 42 years of dedicated service. He was a hard working man who loved his family dearly. His grandchildren were the light of his world. Lonnie took credit for everything in life! Mr. Majors is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lillian (Faltynowski) Majors; sons Daniel Majors, Monti Majors and wife Amy, Lonnie Bryan Majors, Jr. and wife Kathy, Danny Majors and wife Brenda, Paul Majors and wife Evelyn; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Monti Lamar Majors and wife Betty Jean.
