Marne Mallicoat

Marne L. Mallicoat, 93, of Independence, MO passed away April 20, 2012. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Entombment at Mound Grove Mausoleum. Marne was born April 30, 1918 in Hillsdale, Oregon to Louis and Hattie E. (Scott) Strickland. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Marcel Strickland; and her three other siblings, Cuba Dunham, Louis Strickland and Herbert Strickland. She is survived by her loving husband, Edgar Mallicoat; one son, Norman Mallicoat and wife Hatsie of Olathe, KS; three grandsons, Adam Mallicoat of Pocatello, ID, Marshall Mallicoat of Stamford, CT, Logan Mallicoat of Lawrence, KS; and other loving family members in Oregon.
