Wayne Mangels

Wayne K. Mangels, 61, of Independence, MO passed away August 16, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept 4, 2010 from 3-5pm at Eastside Baptist Church, Independence, MO. Wayne was born April 2, 1949 in St. Louis, MO to Kenneth and Norma (Barbre) Mangels. In 1967, he graduated from Truman High School. During High School he became an Eagle Scout. In June of 2010, after 23 years of service, he retired as a plant operator from the City of Independence. He was also member of Eastside Baptist Church. Wayne is survived by his wife, Teresa Mangels; one daughter, Lindsay Mangels; two step-daughters, Shawna Lay and Jessica Phillips; mother, Norma V. Mangels; one granddaughter, Kyndall G. Mangels; one grandson, Miken W. Paul; and two brothers, Mark and Roger Mangels.
