Steve Michael Maniscalco, 87 of Buckner, MO passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. Services 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel 300 Adams St., Buckner, MO 64016. Burial with Full military honors will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8pm Friday, July 10, 2015 at the chapel. Steve was born September 29, 1927 in Houston, TX to Anthony and Irene (Accurso) Maniscalco. He spent his early life in Houston graduating from Lamar High School in 1941. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a plant manager for Dixie Cone Manufacturing and later worked with his brother erecting steel buildings for a number of years. He was a life-member of the VFW, Community Israel’s Gathering and later Buckner Restoration Branch. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He is survived by; a brother, Jim Maniscalco; a sister, Lula Corona, 2 nephews, Ken Maniscalco and Johnnie Maniscalco; 3 nieces, Linda Patrick, Sandra Weidenback and Carrol Dean and many friends and other relatives.
