Joseph Michael Marek passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2011.
He was born August 31, 1949 to Mary and Michael Marek of Sugar Creek, MO. He was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity at CMSU. Joe lived in Connecticut for 28 years, and returned to Missouri to enjoy his retirement years with family and friends. He had a great time doing it!
Joe is survived by his loving wife Carol; brothers, Ron, Jim and wife Denise; sister, Victoria Stumpenhaus and husband Larry; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and wonderful friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 at St. Cyril’s Church; 11231 Chicago St., Sugar Creek, MO. Memorial donations may be made to the Comfort Care Hospice, Cameron, MO, American Cancer Society or the Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center, Omaha, NE.
