Margaret Rae Crites, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 21st, 2023, at the age of 75 in Independence, Missouri. She was born on May 7th, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska to Ira and Margaret Swenson. Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Margaret's journey in life was dedicated to creating a loving home for her family. She worked as a homemaker and poured her heart into every aspect of her role. Her house was always filled with love and laughter, especially with the presence of children. Margaret had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. No matter what challenges life presented, she was always there with open arms and an empathetic ear.

Margaret had an adventurous spirit and loved exploring new experiences. She adored attending the Renaissance Festival and Santi-Cali-Gon annually. These events embraced her love for history and culture while providing unforgettable memories with family and friends.

Beyond her immediate family, Margaret lived a life of service towards others. She dedicated countless hours helping children with scout activities, instilling valuable lessons of leadership and camaraderie along the way. Margaret's nurturing nature extended far beyond her own children; she embraced every child she encountered as if they were her own.

Throughout her life, she pursued her hobbies with great passion. Crocheting and sewing were her creative outlets, through which she crafted beautiful clothes and pillows. Margaret was known for her impeccable attention to detail and the love she infused into each piece.

Traveling to Colorado and Branson, Missouri, held a special place in Margaret's heart. Exploring the scenic beauty of the mountains brought her immense joy and tranquility. She was an active member of a camping club, where she formed lasting connections with fellow enthusiasts who shared her love for adventure and the great outdoors.

Margaret's ability to spread kindness knew no bounds. Her captivating smile was an instant source of comfort and reassurance to those around her.
