Marilyn Louise Cascairo, 91 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m., until service time Wednesday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the St. Luke’s Hospice House 3516 Summit St., Kansas City, MO 64111. Marilyn was born October 25, 1931 in Kansas City, MO to John H. and Frieda M. (Franz) Meyerdierks and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a computer prprogrammer for SIKA for 30 years until she retired. She enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and was an avid KC Chiefs fan. Marilyn dedicated her life to her family and was a loyal caretaker to several who needed care over the years from ailing loved ones to taking care of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also volunteered her time at Centerpoint Medical Center. She is survived by; 3 daughters, Nancy Zarrillo and husband Pete of Independence, Janice Cascairo of Lee’s Summit and Kathryn Cascairo of Pleasant Hill; a son, John Cascairo, Jr. of Independence; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Cascairo, Sr. in 2007; a son, Paul Cascairo and Brother, John H.
