Marjorie F. Childs, 91, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away on July 16, 2026. She was born on July 1, 1935, in Corder, Missouri.

Marjorie lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and friendship. She cherished traveling with her dear friends, especially to New Orleans, where she loved celebrating Mardi Gras and embracing the city's unique culture. Together, they also explored Spain, Portugal, Italy, and New York, creating countless treasured memories. Known as the life of the party, Marjorie had a vibrant spirit and a love for fun. She adored the sunshine and found her happiest moments relaxing at her lake house in the Ozarks, where she enjoyed spending time soaking up the sun.

In 1974, Marjorie was honored as Missouri's Woman of the Year by the Governor in recognition of her accomplishments. She was also a proud member of Businesswomen of America. Marjorie dedicated more than 35 years of her career to JCPenney, where she worked as a cosmetic buyer until her retirement in 1997.

Marjorie’s passing is preceded by her parents, Leslie and Frances Lee, and her beloved husband, Paul Childs Jr. Her legacy lives on through her children, Steven Childs (Liza) and Denise Childs; her grandchildren, Taylor Hutchins, Elizabeth Childs, Harrisen Childs, and Davisen Childs; and her great-grandchildren, Mae Hutchins and Gwen Hutchins.
