Mark Alan Moore

Mark Alan Moore, 56, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away, Sunday December 31, 2023. Mark was born on January 16, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son Gale Jay and Carolyn Sue (Hoskins) Moore. Mark graduated from Englewood Christian Academy and went on to briefly attend UMKC. Mark found and committed to the love of his life Bryant “Buddy” Hunter in 1998, they just celebrated their 25 Anniversary in August.

Mark held many jobs before starting his career as a Software Training/Consultant. Mark and his husband began Trainers Direct in May of 2000 and had many contracts with DFAS, City of Kansas, City, Missouri National Guard, Iowa National Guard, NAIC, AT&T, BMW, and the list goes on. Mark would love to remind or tell everyone that he was the Jones store model for their weekly circular for years and was an extra in the movie “Truman”, where he became friends with Gary Sinise.  Mark had the biggest heart and if you knew Mark, he would draw you in and make you feel as though you have been friends for a lifetime. He loved spending time with family and always said family is the most important thing we have in this life. His nieces and nephew were the closest thing he had to kids, and the kids spent every summer with Uncles. Mark looked forward to the end of the school year and would pick the kids up on the same day school was dismissed and hated when the end of summer came. His friends would become his extended family and he loved them all deeply. Several of his friendships were deeper than one could explain, and they became his chosen brothers and sisters which gave him many more nieces and nephews, Mark was known by many as Uncle Mark. Mark’s strength, faith, love, and kindness will continue to inspire those whose life was touched by knowing him and he will be deeply missed.

Mark is survived by beloved husband; Buddy, his mother; Carolyn Moore of Sugar Creek, MO, mother in law; Debra Stillman of St Joseph, MO, brother in law; Eric Hunter (Keisha) of St Joseph, MO, nieces; Dystiny Rowland (Kristopher), Amyiah Hunter, Acelynn Hunter all of St Joseph, MO; nephew; Daelan Santos-Hunter of St Joseph, MO, two great nieces and a nephew; many cousins that he loved dearly, Aunts and Uncles.
