Doris Jean Marriott, 68, of Independence, MO, passed away on May 17, 2021. Doris was born on April 23, 1953 in Independence, Missouri, to Dean and Jeanette Marriott. She is survived by her son, Chris (Rachel) Metzdorf of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Ashley (Alex) Riffle, Tanner Metzdorf, and Colby Metzdorf of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Dan (Jan) Marriott of Independence, MO; nephews, Nick Marriott and Josh Earl (Monique Aviles) of Kansas City, MO; Nieces, Amy (Hugh) Birkland of Liberty, MO, and Alexis Constantine of Independence, MO; sister, Janice (Jim) Gras of TX; niece, Courtney Gras of TX, and nephew, Devin Gras of TX. She was preceded in death by her parents Dean and Jeanette Marriott. Cremation is planned, and the family will be having a private ceremony to honor Doris.
