Billie Martin

Billie E. Martin, 82, of Independence, MO passed away at 7:17 p.m. on August 10, 2011. She was born October 29, 1928 to John and Huldah (Addison) Kiger. Billie was a member of Jehovah Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Richard G. Martin. Survivors include daughter, Gayle K. Sterrett of Livingston, TX; one son, Johnny E. Martin of the home; and daughter, Glenda K. Martin of the home; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She will be missed and will be remembered for her strange earrings and matching outfits. Many thanks to St. Mary’s Medical Center and John Knox Village Hospice for the loving care they gave to Billie. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
