Joseph Gerard Martin, 52, Raytown, MO, passed away 1/24/14 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. He was born on 10/28/61, in Jefferson City, MO to Ray and Juliana Tappel Martin. Joe attended Helias High School and Linn State Technical College. He was previously employed at Capital Projects. He is survived by four brothers: Wayne Martin (Jan), Kansas City, MO; David Martin (Delores), Jefferson City, MO; Ronald Martin (Judy), Sun City, Arizona; and, John Martin, Smithville, MO. He is also survived by seven sisters: Diane Stroessner (Bill), Jefferson City, MO; Mary Schaefer (Mark), Loose Creek, MO; Ruth Wansing (Leonard), Vienna, MO; Gloria Beitler (Richard), Springfield, MO; Arlene Boese (Bradley), Northmoor, MO; Sheila Lenson (Mark) Overland Park, KS; and, Celeste Keilholz (Alvin), Jefferson City, MO. He has 25 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews and 2 step nieces. Joe will be cremated and memorial services will be held in Jefferson City at a later date.
