Marva Jo Johnson

Marva Jo Johnson, 66 of Independence, MO passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Marva was born August 26, 1957 in Clinton, MO to Harman Wayne and Ruth Ellen (Hunter) Coleman. She has been a longtime area resident graduating from Van Horn High School in 1975. She had worked at Children’s Mercy Hospital in patient financial service for over 17 years. She enjoyed playing video and spending time with family and friends. She was married to Patrick Johnson on August 29, 1975, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; her father Wayne Coleman and a sister, Donna Bongiovanni both of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Coleman in 2012 and a sister Debra Orndoff in 2021.
