Mary “Kathie” Kathryn LeRose

Mary (Kathie) Kathryn LeRose passed away at 70 on Monday, December 18, 2023 in Independence, MO. She was born on October 7, 1953 in Independence, MO to her parents Gerald and Doris Wilson. Kathie retired from United Airlines as a proud member of the AFA (Association of Flight Attendants) after working as a flight attendant for over 30 years.

Kathie’s dream was to be a mom. She loved her children immensely and supported them in any dream they could muster. She was a safe haven for many that needed a mother’s love and she was eager to offer that warmth to anyone who needed it. She lit up any room she entered with her youthful energy, always up for having fun and sharing a laugh. She had a deep passion for the creative arts and for animals; she raised horses, loved her pets almost as much as her children, and enjoyed drawing and crocheting.

Kathie is survived by her son, daughter, and son-in-law; Adam Robinett, Megan LeRose, and Eric Denmead, as well as her nephew Jeremy Stockton. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Marsha Stockton, and brother Bobby Wilson.

Kathie requested a Celebration of Life party, which we will be holding after the new year. The family will share details about the event once it has been planned. Kathie’s Facebook page will remain open and all are welcome to post memories and messages to her there.
