Marrying the love of her life, Hiram Turner, on December 5, 1946, Mary embraced her role as a wife and mother with grace and dedication. She worked as a secretary in a doctor's office but found her true calling at home, where she meticulously cared for her household and raised her children with boundless love. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the walls of her home, as she often organized family gatherings that brought everyone together, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy.

Mary's education began with her graduation from high school, followed by some college, yet it was her life experiences that truly shaped her. Her interests were diverse; she had a green thumb, tending to her yard and flowers with passion, transforming her home into a vibrant sanctuary. An avid reader, Mary also possessed a remarkable talent for writing poetry, often penning heartfelt verses that reflected her deep emotions and experiences. Music, particularly classic country, filled her home and heart, accompanying the many moments of happiness she shared with her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Schram, and her husband John; five adoring grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry her memory forward.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hiram Turner, and her two sons, Rick and Gregg Turner. She was also predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Effie Haskins, and her five sisters and two brothers, who now embrace her in eternal peace.

Mary Cathern Turner was not only a devoted family member but a friend to many, consistently offering kindness and warmth to those around her. Her faithfulness and love have left an indelible mark on the heart of her family and friends, reminding us all of the strength of family ties and the beauty of a life well-lived.
