Mary Katherine Wheaton

Mary Katherine Wheaton was born on December 13, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away on July 12, 2025, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, surrounded by the memories of a life richly lived and the hearts she touched. Her spirit was undeniably vibrant; she was so full of love and life that those fortunate enough to know her were enveloped in her joy. She graced this world with her presence for 80 remarkable years.

Mary found joy in the simplest of pleasures—she loved immersing herself in puzzles that challenged her mind and indulged in old westerns, eagerly following the tales of timeless heroes. Reading was another passion, particularly mysteries that engaged her intellect and sparked her imagination. Mary was a devoted mother to her two daughters, who represented her proudest accomplishment. Every moment spent with them and her beloved grandchildren was treasured, as she poured her whole heart into being present and nurturing. Her love knew no bounds, and her family will forever carry the truth of her unwavering support and affection in their hearts.

Mary's passing was preceded by her beloved husband, Terry Wheaton; her parents, Thomas and Edna (Casey) Lovell; and her brother, James Lovell. Her legacy of love continues on through her daughters, Ronny Page and Kathy Adams; her grandchildren, Jacob Scalf, Lance Woodroof, Amy Woodroof, Dustin Adams, Sydney Stewart, and Ryan Stewart; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
