Mary “JoAnn” (Johnson) Zink
Mary JoAnn (Johnson) Zink passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023 with her husband and her fur baby, Nala by her side. She was 86. JoAnn was born to Ralph and Mary (Curtis) Johnson on April 3, 1937 in Denver, Colorado.
JoAnn graduated from William Chrisman in 1955. Afterwards she spent many years working in a lab and doing X-rays for a medical facility. She volunteered 14 years with the Arizona Sheriff Posse, loved spending time with her Beta Sigma Phi gals, enjoyed playing bridge, flying, golfing and traveling. She was a very talented artist and created some incredible pencil drawings. JoAnn was also a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. She will be greatly missed.
JoAnn is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Arthur C. Zink, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved furry companion, Nala.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph D. Johnson and Mary Williams.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 12th from 1-2pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, Missouri. A graveside service will immediately follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery in Lee’s Summit.
