Anna Mason

Anna May Mason, 86, of Independence, MO went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 22, 2009. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Speaks Buckner Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel. Burial in Six Mile Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Buckner Mission Fund. Anna May was born May 25, 1922 in St. Louis Co., MO to John Wesley and Sue Hannah (Sumner) Peace. She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Buckner. Mrs. Mason worked for over 30 years at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy, MO before retiring. She loved her family dearly. Anna May enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting in her spare time. She is survived by her son Doug Mason and wife Sue; grandchildren Bridgett and Steve Neeley, Faith and Martin Tootle, Chuck Mericle; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Ruth Kruger; special great-niece Robin Strange; nephew Dean Walters; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Anna May was preceded in death by her husband Earl Mason; by two sisters and one brother; and by granddaughter Christine Mericle.
