Robert Gene "Bob" Massey

Robert Gene Massey of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. He was 73 years of age.
Bob was born in Independence, Missouri on November 23, 1948, to Oren and Norma Massey. He graduated from Truman High School in 1967. Just a year later, Bob joined the army and proudly served the United States of America in the Vietnam war. After his service in the armed forces, Bob worked as a surveyor for Harvey Jones Engineering. Bob loved his work, and he especially loved working with his hands. In his free time, he put his heart into restoring old cars to their former glory. He will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Jill Massey; mother in law, Donna N. Kish; sisters in law, Mary Jane Massey and Jane Gartman; nephew, Timothy C. Massey; great nieces, Teagan and Kenzlee Massey. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oren and Norma Massey; and brother, Richard L. Massey.
Interment will be private. Bob will be laid to rest in Swan Lake Cemetery in Grain Valley, Missouri.
