Alice R. Massie, 97, of Independence, MO passed away August 21, 2008 at the Kansas City Hospice House. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Alice was born March 23, 1911 in Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Massie, Sr.; two sons, Charles Massie, Jr. and Robert E. Massie; great granddaughter, Jessie Brooker; and grandson, Shawn Massie. Alice is survived by her daughter, Alicia L. Hunt and husband Carl; son, Dennis R. Massie and wife, Bonnie; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
