Thomas B. Matakas, 9, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away unexpectedly April 12, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, April 16 at St. John LaLande Catholic Church in Blue Springs, MO; interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm, Thursday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Thomas B. Matakas Memorial Fund.
Thomas was born Jan. 15, 2001 in Kansas City, MO. He loved animals, especially his pet lizards, his tree swing, fishing and playing video games.
Thomas is survived by his parents Tom and Melisa Matakas; sister Shelby Matakas, all of the home; maternal grandparents Bernard and Toni Sieben, Lee’s Summit, MO; paternal grandparents Tom and Carol Matakas, McLouth, KS; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his pets.
