Susan F. Maxon, 62, of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm Sunday, November 15th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm at the chapel.
Susan was born September 6, 1953 in Monrovia, CA. Her family quickly moved to Springfield, MO where she was raised near her mother’s family. She later graduated from Trenton High School. She married her beloved David Ray Maxon, Sr. on May 20, 1994. Together they enjoyed day trips, playing games at the boat, dancing at Charlie’s Bar and spending anniversaries in Branson. She also enjoyed hosting her family, cooking for them, loving on her two dogs, and watching Big Bang Theory. Her family remembers her as fun loving, and sassy, as well as a tender hearted caregiver who would give anything to someone in need. Susan is loved and will be missed.
Survivors include husband, David of the home; daughter, Ginger Suzanne Schulmeister of Kansas City, MO; stepchildren, Angie Gage (Jeff) of Independence, MO; and David R. Maxon Jr. (Jill) of Oak Grove, MO; grandchildren Jacob Gage and Keaton Ray Maxon; brother, James J. Ferrell of Sarasota, FL; and uncles, Russell Taylor of Blue Springs, MO and Jim Taylor of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. Ferrell and Helen Louise Ogan; and mother-in-law, Mary Roush.
