Charles Myron May, 87, Independence, MO passed away Oct. 1, 2008. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm, Sat., Oct. 4 2008 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service from 11 am - noon at Carson-Speaks Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to The Stone Church or the charity of your choice.
Myron was born Dec. 29, 1920 in Independence and was a life-long resident. He graduated from William Chrisman High School and later earned his accounting degree from Graceland College. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Italy during WW II. He worked as an accountant at the Lake City Ammunitions Plant for many years before his retirement. He was a member of The Community of Christ Stone Church for many years where he served as a deacon. Myron played the piano and especially enjoyed Classical music.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his sister-in-law Adah Marie Meng; faithful and loyal friend Mark Xayaphet, both of Independence, MO; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
