Teresa Gail (Camp) McChesney, 54, of Blue Springs, MO was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Noland Road Baptist Church, 4505 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Teresa was born August 5, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas. Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Tom McChesney; sons Ryan, Chase and daughter-in-law Kristin; Mother Lunette Cozine; siblings Sandy, David, Judy, Terry, Danny; and by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her Grand Parents, two uncles and three cousins. Both family and friends agree that Teresa took sincere pleasure in placing others needs first. Her life was full of engaging stories of thoughtful acts of love, faith and kindness. Her faith in Christ was her inspiration and she and her husband were often active in Sunday School programs at Church. Teresa worked for the Social Security Administration for 36-years, starting as a typist clerk and reaching the regarded position of EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) Specialists. Teresa loved her career, as it provided her the opportunity to support and serve others while working with friends that she loved dearly. She will be missed greatly, but her memories and spirit will be with us always. If you feel led to make a contribution in Teresa’s memory, her husband and sons ask you to consider an act of kindness for someone in need, a friend or neighbor needing encouragement or support.
