Eullaine Frances McCormick, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010.
A combined funeral service with Keith McCormick will be at 1:30 pm Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
Eullaine was born June 13, 1926 in Missouri Valley, IA the daughter of Vivian W. and Pansy G. (Pool) Graybill. She graduated Salutatorian from Stet High School in 1944. Eullaine attended Independence Sanitarium and Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1947. She worked as a civilian nurse on the Roswell, NM Air Force Base during the Korean War. When she returned to Independence, MO she worked for the Independence Sanitarium. Later she worked as a nurse for the Head Start Program and for the Visiting Nurses Association Home Health Care Program for over 40 years earning the Employee of the Year Award. Eullaine was also a member of the RLDS Professional Nurses Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith McCormick on November 19, 2010; brother, Wendall Graybill and her parents.
Survivors include her children, Jacalyn Leaders and her husband Glen of Woodbine, IA; John McCormick and his wife Judy of Lawrence, KS; and Daniel McCormick and his wife April of Independence; grandchildren, Matt Leaders and his wife Rebecca; Ryan Leaders, Kim Leaders, Sophia McCormick, Vivian McCormick; great grandchildren, Brock, Reese and Blaine; sisters, Joy Young, Anna Bice, Linda Dykeman; brothers, Robert Graybill, and Wallace Graybill.
