Martha Mccoy

Martha Joyce McCoy, 82, of Independence, MO went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 21, 2008 at John Knox Village Care Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Joyce was born December 24, 1925 in Louisville, KY to Chester and Virginia Ruth (Holladay) Scalf. She was most recently a member of First Baptist Church of Independence. Mrs. McCoy was a faithful supporter of her husband’s ministry. Joyce is survived by her husband Dr. Dick McCoy; daughters Sarah Pinder and husband Mark, Nancy Coker and husband Ross; son Mark McCoy; grandchildren Jason and Rachel Pinder, Jared, Leah and Karla Coker; nieces Shelly and Cathy Fears. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law.
