Garth McCulloch, 83, of Sugar Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM., on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Mound Grove Cemetery. A celebration of life service is planned at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at New Hope Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 220 West Moore Street, Independence, MO 64050. A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM., on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the church.
He was born on March 3, 1930, in Landis, Saskatchewan, Canada, the son of John and Jenny (McKinley) McCulloch. Garth was a shop teacher for many years in the Independence school system. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making and playing the violin.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Audrey McCulloch, of the home; two sons, Mark McCulloch and his wife Carol, Maryville; and Scott McCulloch, Sugar Creek; one daughter, Marla Knauff, Sugar Creek; five grandchildren, Shawn, Grant and Sarah Knauff and Katie and Daniel McCulloch; two great-grandchildren, Ella and Leah.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charlie McCulloch.
