Frances Jane McDole, 89 of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Wilshire Long Term Care. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to Outreach International. Frances was born April 29, 1923 in Everett, WA to Amos Beers and Ruby LaBelle (Nichols) Tomlinson. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1940 and later received her RN from Trinity Lutheran Nursing School in 1944. She then attended Graceland College and graduated from there in 1946. Frances worked as a nurse at Jackson County Hospital and Regional Health Center and was the nurse at many different reunions, and church camps. She was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church and was a Zion’s League leader and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, singing, study and journals. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and had a beautiful voice, teaching church choirs for both children and adult. She was married to Wayne S. McDole on August 31, 1947, he preceded her in death February 8, 2002. Survivors include; her children, Gary Lee McDole and wife Mary Faye (Pepper) McDole of Lee’s Summit, MO, R. Lynette McDole Flaharty and husband Gene Dallan of Independence, MO, Gayle Eileen McDole Calder and husband Donald John of Holden, MO and Lori Denise McDole of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn McDole and husband Jason Michael Blanke, Angie C. England, Robert Lee S. Flaharty, Ronald James S. Flaharty, Donald Wayne Calder and wife Miranda Renee, Elizabeth Ann Calder Zukowski and husband Benjamin Joseph; 4 great grandchildren, Carrie Elizabeth Stiles, Donald Garrett Calder, Jordan Zavier Calder, and Aubrey Anna Zukowski. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry James McDole in 2002, her father in 1980, her mother in 1995 and a brother, Robert Loren Tomlinson in 1999.
